Contest Decision help!

I am entering a photo contest sponsored by my school's district.
I am having trouble deciding between a few pictures to enter in each category.

1.) Architecture
( i called the person in charge of the contest, she said it was not limited to buildings and that statues signs etc. also count)

And, do you think this constitutes as "photojournalism?"

I like the building picture for architecture.

The 3rd pic is "photojournalistic", but won't stand a chance against anything that tells a story...there are no elements there to tell us "why" or "where". It's very non-specific.

Do you have any other considerations for photojournalism?

I think #1 for architecture. They are both very good but something didn't quite feel right with #2

Then the 3rd one of the second set of photojournalism. I think it tells the best story personally. Though I like #4 better, I would have preferred to see his whole face.
