Continuous Ink System (I would like your imput)

Hello everyone, Its been a while.
I have been spending a fair about on ink in the past year and was thinking about adding an ink system to my Epson R1900. I have a few questions about peoples experiences with them and what you have heard from others about them.

My two biggest conserns are:
1)how off balence are the colors? Can you see a diferance?
2)The R1900 uses a pigment based ink. Pigment inks settel over time, How longe wold it take for the pigment to settel and cause problems as sometimes then ptinter may go a month without use?

My roomate has one that he attached to his printer. I'll say first that I don't know anything about which printer it is, or which feed system, but I've never once seen it work. He'll fumble with it for hours to get one print that doesn't have blotches and bleeds everywhere. Sorry I couldn't be of help, but know that some systems exist which just don't work :meh:

Tried it-- cost me more than it saved and the prints were really second rate. Why not look for a reconditioned professional printer that takes the larger ink cartridges. But please dont wast your time money or patience intrying it out. I have hrard of some successes-- but I have also noticed that the bulk ink packages dont advertise nearlly as much as they used to-- hint hint wink wink

Is CISS for all types or models of printers? Or are there just certain models than can have this? I was wondering if it would work with an HP laserjet 3030..
