I'm wondering what this means for owners of DX format Nikon cameras who plan to buy lenses.

I plan on going with both formats myself. I already have both DX and FX or, film lenses. I have been saving for a D3 but, now I wont have to save as long.
Oh and the price at B&H for preorder is $3600 w/ the kit lens.

Samsung has announced the coming of a Full Frame sensor. So we can expect a GX-2 and a K2D.

Yessssssss, although by that time it may well be the K3.

Sounds like good justification to keep buying old K mount 35mm lenses on eBay. Knowing Samsung/Pentax, this could be quite the bargain. I am glad to hear they are expanding their excellent range upwards- if this is the K10D to the D700's D80, it's a good thing I don't have credit cards.
