Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
These three photos were taken with the Canon 60D over the past two days.
I used Lightroom 3 for the post-production.
If you have to please rip me a new one, it will only help my learning process.

I can't see your photos behind that huge watermark.

I really like the color in the first one! But, i'm with the other people about the watermark. You should make it much smaller. What i've found to make my watermark alittle less "intrusive" is to 1. make it pretty small and 2. make it about 50-70% transparent so its not so...out there.

All of these are good snap shots! But they are just that, snap shots. The second one is the best of the three in my opinion, but the on camera flash ruins it.
And ditto on the watermark comments. Keep working at it, and have intent on some photos! (which is why number is the best, looks like you sat her down and were intending to take a photo, instead of just "oh, let me get a picture of that")
:)

1.) The colors of the flower are wonderful, however it was shot in the evening hours and with the use of popup flash. Popup flash should be used if you have to IMHO. The 60D should handle noise pretty nicely, so try turning up the ISO when you're outdoors closer to dusk. Also, the subject is pretty centered in the frame, which is weak compositionally in this instance with the odd amount of negative space.

2.) You used what you had to take the photo. Popup flash w/o diffuser at dusk.
The subject is poorly lit because of it, but the background appears to be nice.

3.) Nothing particularly exciting about this one. The shutter speed was too slow to freeze the wing motion. The subject is a tad bit underexposed as well.

This is what everyone who first picks up a DSLR goes through. Unless you just don't have the willpower and decide to ditch it and sell your camera. That may happen too, as sometimes people just end up not pursuing it.

But anyways, keep working at it.

I like what you captured in #1 for your composition. And I like your composition in #2. I like in particular that you got down to a even level with the subject. I think though that your focus ended up on the shirt as that is where I see the sharpness. I like #3 too, its almost a natural black and white. I might want to play around with that to get the green of of the grass to see how it ends up.

Enjoy your camera!
