Thought it was time I contributed another pic. I would appreciate CC. This was a three-shot handheld HDR. I know it has a funky crop but I had elements on both sides that I needed to remove. I am struggling with my composition as always so tips in that area would be appreciated. Thanks!

The HDR is done fairly well, but why couldn't you compose from the driveway leading up to the courthouse?

This is the back side of the courthouse and the big tree in the foreground actually is hiding several large trash dumpsters. Cars are parked to the right of the frame. I agree that the lines of the driveway leading up to the courthouse would have been more pleasing from a composition standpoint! Next time I will compose from there and use my clone tool to try and get rid of the unwanted stuff.

The processing looks really good. Unfortunately, that's where the accolades have to stop.

The tree may be hiding trash dumpsters, but it's helping to destroy the image. If the tree is hiding dumpsters, then they can't be that big in the frame. I'd recompose the shot and then remove them. You titled the shot "Courthouse At Sundown" and included almost none of the courthouse, relatively speaking.

This one's just not working...

That tree is a major problem. The rest looks good.

It does sort of dominate the image. Thanks for the tips.

looks good to me i think the tree is in a strategic location kind of giving the sun the element of surprise not allowing it to give blow outs but produce shadows

decent editing as well

I think it looks a lot less of a problem with the verticals fixed. But yes, the tree is in the way. I'd go back ASAP; the light is perfect in this one.
