crap, I need an idea for cleaning a broken component

The glass in the eyepiece finally collapsed into the eyepiece itself (I knew it would eventually) of my AE-1 and I am still not able to send it for repairs yet.

I'm not sure how to go about cleaning it now as I don't want it bobbling around and scratching that wich it is resting on. Any Ideas?

I don't like the AE-1, I'm not buying another one.

The thought of a parts camera had occured to me, but I don't keep an E-Bay account. When I get things off E-Bay they need to be of far higher priority than replacement parts given the process I need to use to get anything from there.


The glass in the view finder

that glass should be further to the back of the camera, the way I carry my camera dust collects on it quickly and am frequently blowing it out or wiping it off, but now however I can't do that. It rattles around like holy particular hell.
