Creative Cloud vs. CS

Anyone using Creative Cloud instead of just outright buying CS? Why?

I'm about to take the jump and buy CS6. Creative Cloud seems nice for the first year, but I guess in another year I'll have paid more than just outright buying photoshop CS6, and I'm guessing I won't need to upgrade to CS7 right away...

But I'd love to know everyone else's thoughts...

If you use more than just one of the pieces of software creative cloud is with it. Especially when it time to upgrade to the next version, you just get it with creative cloud.

Yeah, I've been using Cloud since last June. The main thing I like is that I can use any of the applications. I used to have Production Premium, and I missed the web stuff like Dreamweaver; then I switched to Design Premium and I missed video stuff like After Effects. I couldn't get myself to shell out for Master Collection. Hence Cloud. Agreed that buying a perpetual license is cheaper in the long run, but not if you're the type (like I) who upgrades every two years. So far, I'm quite happy to have access to everything.

KmH, does that mean you don't like?

Ive been thinking about doing it because I do some graphic design, some web design, lots of photo stuff, and a couple other things that creative cloud includes. So for my purposes, creative cloud may just be the best option.

Well the thing I find a little scary is Adobe's announced new features for CS6 that will now only be in creative cloud not in regular photoshop.

This to me is a little annoying. Even if the features are not huge, yet, if they keep down this path I guess it's possible creative suite is going to be necessary in the future, and that's the way they'll be going...
