I don't get it. Not sure if I like the focal point either. Seems to be a picture of a lamp curve? or maybe a railing?

Doesn't matter what he photographed - the image is about composition and the play of light on the surface. IMO it works pretty well for that, but I'd prefer the foreground to be a little more in focus.

I softened the image with a gaussian blur because there were machine marks that I thought were un attractive. I would always remove the blur that I placed on the image Ken if you think it would look better. I was thinking it looked better with a softer feel at the time I shot it.
