D7000 backorder wait times?

I'm stuck right now, between buying a D7000 or a D90. Obviously the D7000 is better. But I have jobs coming up, and currently don't have a camera to use for them as I just sold my d40 to help finance an upgrade.

I know the d7000 is backordered literally everywhere, but how long are they taking to ship orders? A few weeks? Months?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!

Yeah, So did I. I've checked everywhere and haven't been able to find one. I'm just trying to figure out how long amazon will take to ship if I put an order in now.

I could get one on ebay right now for $1,400 but I'm not paying that much for it.

Check your local Best Buy stores, I've seen them in stock a couple times now but you'd have to buy the kit (w/18-105 lens). Could easily sell the lens if you need it soon.

Just a thought.

No way I would ever pay a scalper/price gouger. That makes it worse for everyone else. Everybody is buying them for Christmas. They'll prob get more in January.

Because the only way for me to have enought cash for another body, was to sell my current one. It sucks, trust me. Just didn't have much choice. part of being a broke, 18 year old college student
