Photos NOT OK to edit
I've been hired to record a concert with my d90. And I'm going to record the audio with a decent Sony mic into audacity or something (what program should I use) and I'll sync it with video later.
My question is... Is the d90 battery going to last me for a little more than an hour of video capture plus some reception photos with flash after? I have a grip should I get a second battery?

I'll get two. For grip. And I'll be using canon 50d for stills. During concert.

I have a D90 and don't use the video function at all so I may be all wet here but, I thought I remember there being a 5 minute video clip limit or something. If so, the battery may not be the only issue you might have when filming a concert.

Have you checked your manual for video concerns? Segment time limits, memory cards needed, amount of video per charge on average?

5 minutes for 1080p. I'll do 480p for 20 min segments. Each piece the artist is performing is 10 minutes max. Will be separate clips. Just worrying what program to use for audio. Simple capture
