I personally like the background. The only thing I would change is I think you should have stepped back a step first. The front of the flower seems kinda out of focus and it seems like it was just a little bit too close. Nice colors though.

I don't really like the background. I think it has more to do with the spots being the same color as the flowers than with the spots being there...just my opinion...
