Every fiber of my being tells me I should hate the processing here, but... it's absolutely fantastic. Well done!!

Well OK I haven't responded to much of anything on PF but as I have more time I may start to. Am I such a purist that I can't overlook the editing? It's...... so perfect. I would like to think that it is my skill that shoots the great shot, whats wrong with me?

It appears everything fell into place for you this day.
Photos like this drew me into photography. Learning the basics people convinced me to shy away from the pp and to concentrate on learning the camera, the skills, etc.
I can see why.
Nice skills on your part here. I am not so much a people photographer but wildlife and to hit this mark in my genre is a goal I would love to hit.
