Darter in the Park

Nice shot of an anhinga drying its wings off. I have seen lots of these in Florida and I really like the colour pattern on the feathers in their wings.

Very nice shot ....just shop the 2 twigs under the left wing

That is a spectacular photo!!

Nicely shot. I am so jealous of this. I have always wanted to see one of these or even a Loon with that type of pose would be cool... in my lens :) I love fishing birds... they are so fun to watch to say the least. The shot is a very nice one with great creamy bokeh and tack sharp forcus! The lighting is good too. Composition with the bird looking right in to the open area of the frame leads the eye in the rest of the picture with out detracting from the shot itself. Nicely done all together.. I am jealous! :)

@SamiJo I'm not the best chopper, but I used healing brush and patch tool I think. There probably better ways.

@nikmal. I got lucky with the subject. It let me get pretty close and posed for about 15 minutes while I shot. Took about 30 shots of this guy and lucked out on a couple before he decided enough was enough and dove into the pond. It was late morning but there are tons of live oaks that keep the light from being overtly harsh until around noon. The pose kind of chose itself as this was the only way to light the eyes and wings.
