Very nice scene and nicely composed.
I find the overall image a wee bit flat perhaps. I think a small tone curve adjustment raising mid-tones would help give it a little lift.
Just my opinion, I like it very much.

I really do appreciate the constructive comment. The scene in real life was very flat because of the dense fog and inherent flat lighting - which is standard on the beach when the fog rolls in.

After playing with several variations of the image, I chose to keep the image that portrayed the emotive response I felt when I took it.

It's all real. I don't have the skills to do that so I just take my time and try to get it right the first time.
