Hope everybody is enjoying their holidays so far.

I asked this for christmas, I found it on the lens and shutter websit but I was unable to locate it on the Nikon website. Curious as to why that is.
Anywho here's the link to the product hope somebody will click it. Incase you don't it's an AF-S DX 35/1.8G. So a 35mm prime with F/1.8 for only $269.00 and Sale ends on boxxing day. Would you or would you not snag this up for a portrait lens?

Again I couldn't find this lens on Nikon.ca

Thanks for your time.
Enjoy your holidays.

EDIT: I fail here's the link for nikon.
Nikon Canada

This lens is 192 dollars on B&H video. Dollars pretty darn close why would you want to pay more.

Yeah true but I mean does that come with the warranty, the direct service, and ofcourse the shipping costs, and will I have it before x-mas. All things I desperately need and i'm willing to pay the extra to get that.

Generally yes. Shipping on that will be cheap and I always get my stuff in 2 days. 1 to 2 day shipping is 30 dollars. B&H has 5 year warranty on most Nikon lenses and you have the option to buy more from them if you want. But total in my cart is 223.00.

Hmm. Now maybe I might have to go through online. The only thing I ever ordered online was form Amazon, and we got it shipped to Sumas, (the border) and we went to pick it up since shipping to Canada was so darn expensive. It also took a couple weeks. Also it says the imported one is out of stock.

The USA one isn't. I buy from B&H with great satisfaction and have always been secure with their stuff. And they don't screw you on shipping. Go for the super shipper 1 to 2 day one because the brokerage fees are included.

Yeah but how do you determine shipping with the USA one? Heh i'm a real noob when it comes to ordering stuff online. Never been a real fan of it but if it helps me save money i'm in!

So I couldn't remember what the diff was between the versions. This was from B&H chat.

: Items marked "USA" are imported and/or distributed by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's official licensed importer/distributor and are warranted by them. Items marked "IMP" are imported and/or distributed by other entities and are warranted by B&H Photo-Video. "IMP" products do not qualify for manufacturer's rebate programs. There is no difference in the item itself.
Rob K: The import is warranted by B&H for one year
Rob K: so repairs need to be sent back to B&H
Dee: and the other?
Rob K: Verses the USA is a Manufactures warranty

Add the item to your cart then view cart and select your country/province of residence and choose the last shipping option its the super saver 1 - 2 day one with brokerage fees included. If you don't want to shop online you can always phone B&H directly.

Very well then. Looks like i'll be buying myself a christmas present in the new year XD. Thanks alot for the feedback MWC.
Another thing do you have any experience or have you heard good reviews about this lens? I've read all the reviews on B&H and they're pretty darn good.

I don't have this exact lens. I bought a 35mm F2 for when I switch to full next fall. I love my copy and have heard nothing but great reviews on the 35mm 1.8 here. Im sure some peeps will chime in.

Yeah haha. For now it's a Canada only thread :-P. Really want to get into portraits and stuff and since it's 1.8 low light won't keep me inside.
