I love macro work, but I definitely would have gone with a much tighter aperture. Atleast enough to bring the innards into focus. Keep at it though you are on track.

Hmmm, thats what I like about it.

I was kind of limited on dof as I was shooting bugs (handheld) at the time. I knew the textures would look cool in b&w.

I agree with the first reply. It is very hard to tell what it is. Perhaps more depth of field would help.
