Very nice. I've never used my beauty dish on male subjects, don't know why after seeing these? They could have used a tad more light under the chin, assuming you were using a reflector down low?

Thanks! I find that the higher contrast light from a beauty dish suits male portraits well.
I agree, I would have also prefered more light under the chin as well. I didn't use a reflector for those shots, but it definitely would have improved them.

Yup harder light, sharper transition in the shadows. I have a white & silver one. The silver is a little hot about a full stop over the white, more contrast than the white but specular highlights are harder to control.

A sock might help reduce them without fully canceling them out. I have the least experience with beauty dishes compared to other modifiers though, so for all I know a sock might completely cancel out the entire point of using the silver beauty dish.
