Some light on the face would have been nice but I'm guessing that this was an informal "catch as catch can."
Are the eyes a mite soft or is it my eyes that are soft (new eye test booked for Monday)?
Apart from that it's a really nice capture and a very fitting title... it makes me want to start singing the Rawhide theme tune.

try turning the camera sideways. When the camera is sideways it's called "portrait" orientation, for a reason
