Does anyone know how to filter out all colors except one? i.e. I want to make a portrait black and white, but I still the the eyes to be blue. Thanks much for any help.

You do that in postprocessing with a program like Photoshop or the GIMP. Two layers - one Black and White on top of one Color, then erase away the areas you want colored.

Mr. Tiberius means Layers but he's right on. That's how you do, pretty easy.

A better way than actually erasing the top layer, is to use a layer mask. A layer mask will give you the same result...but you can 'paint' in on or off, which makes it easy to fine tune etc.

I always just use the magic wand to select the colour I want then inverse my selection and use the channel mixer to make it B&W.. But the layer technique sounds nifty, I'll have to try it next time :)
