G'day all
My photo shooting often uses lenses in the 300mm to 1000mm range and camera shake is a serious issue
Also for me now well into my retirement yrs, I ain't so good at holding heavy photo equipment any more
Several yrs ago I started to look into commercial monopods and was not impressed either with their retail price, nor their inherent stability ... I wanted something "solid", so I started looking for a good alternative
I found it in painter's extendable handles from the hardware store ... and I have 2 of them now
One extends to 1,8m / 6ft tall, the other extends to 2,4m / 8ft tall -- enough to see over crowds and operate via a remote control cable
Total cost is under $100 once completed
I have prepared a PDF document giving all the good oil .. it is attached here for anyone to download
Hope this helps
Phil
