I used Paintshop Pro X2 a long time ago. Do you realize that you can get an upgrade and that at some points the price of X3 and X4 has come down to $29 in various sales? You can also get a 30 day trial of new versions free. Have you tried versions of X3, X4 and X5 on free trials?

i've had 6,7,9,10,and 13(x3).Used the trial version of 5.Honestly,tho,I think I'm going to move to Adobe. They seem to have alot more customer support.Besides,I'm really luvin' Lightroom 4 !!

I have had hotel PaintShopPro pro 2x I thought about getting the latest but why not buy PhotoShop elements 11 for 100.00 or on amazon 80.00 would the later version just work has well what have they upgraded ... I like to just spend 50 on software until I can save more money and learn photography...to be pro

If you want to be a professional photographer, start studying business subjects, like accounting, record keeping, taxes, marketing, promotion, customer relations, salesmanship, how to research and write a business/marketing plan, etc.

Or the cheaper route is to get a photographic job where you are supplied with whatever equipment you need or want.
