In this day and age where technology is cheap exists the ability for anyone to buy a DSLR and "Go Pro" by taking fabulous shots right out of the camera.

With that in mind, are you finding yourself put out, offended, threatened, angry or even sad about the massive influx of competition to the world of Professional Photography?

If so, you need to back up and take stock of your own ability to wield a camera.

Seriously.

If you're that damned worried about what other people are doing it can only mean you lack the skill (and/or confidence) to over-come the raging amateurs like me who are muscling in on your turf.

Mkthx. :twak:

Hmm.. didnt we just have a topic like this? 90% of the people in this forum including me are in this category.

lol BJ i was gonna reply with somethin along those lines but just ended up confused n left the thread

where is that dead horse emoticon?

been back on this forum for less than a week after a long hiatus and i am already sick of this topic.

I think I remember an old saying, "It's the Indian, not the arrow". Somehow this could be applied here I believe.

it bothers me more that everyone & their brother starts a thread like this.

I want to participate in this thread too so that I can become confused later about what was said where and then let my confusion build into righteous indignation because that's one of life's simple pleasures.

That out of the way, the only thing I hate about so many bad pros out there is that everyone I know thinks I should go pro too and think they are being incredibly helpful by suggesting it.

What defines a professional photographer ? Alot of people say only when you sell them your a pro,Ive been out lots of times taking pictures of things my friends/relatives want pictures of (cars, animals, locations ect) but I haven't nor did I intend to charge them for it

I have no Intent to sell pictures, I mainly enjoy capturing moments that will 99% of the time never happen exactly like that again, every now and then you may get a good one, and sometimes not lol
