If you like the people in the background to give it a sense of beachness, that's cool, I can understand that. If you are going to print, use a 5/4 frame such as 10x8 so you can eliminate some dead space. I like the tones and overall color palette,....

Cute shot. I think I would have chosen to show a bit more above the dog though and cropped off a little on the left side. Just my opinion.

of thanks, i dont have ps right now. I'm getting by with minor histogram adjustments until I get a computer. I have another shot that didn't have any people in the background, I liked this one better for some reason. I'll post the other tomorow
