Trying to bud out from doing mostly dragons... I also used a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8N ED on a Kenko AF tube attached to a D7000 for these!

#2 is a keeper. Your DOF is razor thin... was that intentional? What lens / tubes/ etc.. are you using?
 
Well, it was the first time I used a Nikon 24-70 2.8G N ED with a Kenko 12mm AF tube. I was also not very sober... Anyway, I was playing around with DOF trying to find the right zoom/dof combo.
