Drivers for the USB

Hey guys,
I've just installed a fresh copy of windows 8.1 N x64 and my nikon d5100 is no longer recognized.

Sadly no luck at all... with uninstalling, restarting the OS, all updates are up to date. Updated the firmware of my camera to the latest, still nothing...
Any advises what I can do?

I remember when I got a new Win8 machine it wouldn't recognize my Canon DSLR. Updating the Canon drivers (from their website) fixed the issue.

I've searched in the Nikon's site, but I couldn't find anything about usb drivers = (

I would try installing the latest version of View NX:

The View NX sadly didn't work,

And the Update for the windows D7K mentioned is something I've tried before creating this thread, but sadly when I've downloaded it, it said It's not compatible with my windows, when I'm sure I need x64 windows 8.1 : (

I did a quick search of the Nikon website (I'm a Canon shooter, so I've had to resort to 'spy mode') and found the following Windows 8.1 info. It looks like you moved to Win 8.1 before Nikon had a chance to 'catch up'. Welcome to life on the 'bleeding edge' of computer upgrades.

This sucks! = ( I've had it working on windows 8.1, but now I've installed the N version which is for Europe... I'll never do the same mistake again...

Cheese and crackers! I've installed Windows 8.1N again after half an year and my windows got latest updates and everything... and still makes the same issue...(with other windows versions it's okay) Only because of that my next DSLR will be Canon FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
