That is an excellent shot. The lighting and absense of shadows are nice, but the depth into the fluid is amazing.

@md: a strobe with softbox behind the glass, in a dark room

@Jeff: ordinary Seltzer water makes great bubbles

I've tried different exposures to get a nice gradient behind the glass,
with no detail (pure white) in the lightest parts of the background.
This one was a 1/200th of a sec. @f22, shot from the front right
