What street is that on? It's an interesting photo, is it cropped from a larger image?

May be drowning in blue, but it is not monochromatic, therefore needs not be in the B&W thread. :mrgreen:

As to the shot, I am having difficulty in finding a message or specific focal point, therefore, for me, it fails.

thetrue: The sign was on a fence on one of the small streets just above Washington Ave. around 12th or 13th street. I cropped just a little around the edges, so this is more or less as shot.

ceeboy - yeah I know I posted it in the wrong forum, hence the edit. I was thinking about several images at once and got mixed up. I'm not sure abstracts like this have a message, or at least not one that is the same for everyone, so either it works just as a composition of shapes and colors or it creates some kind of visceral reaction, or in some cases it just doesn't work at all. Thanks for commenting.

ceeboy, I think you may be focusing too much on the name as opposed to the image. To me, even as an abstract, the "tag" in the center would be the subject, and the sign itself would be a secondary subject. The more I look at it, the more I like it as an abstract.

I was just down that way Thursday night! Had to get some Geno's after a walk around South St.

Title or no title but why have one if it doesn't enter into the equation? That aside even if an abstract in the purist sense, it should at least evoke a response from me and this one doesn't. It's no biggie, sometimes I just don't get it.
