Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
What does C&C stand for anyways?? I've come to the conclusion that it means something like constructive criticism? haha

Anyways, I found a shot I took a long time ago and wanted to know what other people thought of it.
It's a shot of my recording studio (not high budget).
The drum set specifically.
I wanted to go with a dark, mysterious kind of shot. (like most of my not well lit photos)

I think it was taken with my Nikon D40, possibly my D90.
I believe it is my 16mm 2.8 fisheye (crop sensor)
I used a single $5 Sigma flash, long exposure, ran around and lit the drum set up.
I didn't bother photoshopping the lights out, I probably should.

C&C = comment and critique.

This looks pretty tasty!

The darkness makes the subject a bit foggy, and are the lights natural?

are the lights natural? I used a strobe/ flash so nopee

I meant did you photoshop those sparkly parts in.. if so I would have been like wtf.. lol

I think if the front of the bass drum was visible it would make this photo 3 times as good... it is just a bit dark imo.

Oh haha no, thats what the camera picked up

Since the flashes were hand held, when i flashed 2 or 3 times in one spot, my unsteady hands is what probably made the lights them selves look blury?

I wished there was more definition in the bass drum

You accomplished that, but it would be nice to see more of what you were shooting at in the pic.

Maybe you could try cleaning up the cords, or removing them completely? I only say this because with non of the other instruments or band gear in the frame, you could go with a cleaner, wireless look also.
