That's further up river than I've ever seen the blackwater - very differnt in character to the bit I sailed as a kid!!!
Lovely shot, which would have been nice even without the sunset colours!

The end of August in particular in manic in Clacton, with the airshow crowds swelling the usual bankholiday beach mob.
But apart from that the worse I generally face is traffic from the Harwich ferries, which can release 100's of cars just in time to block my route to work.
There's a lot of lower half of the county that I don't know, something I recently tried to start remedying, after all it's not just Southend & Basildon
