E-510 long-exposure noise reduction option greyed out

I'm actually going out to shoot now, but I notice that "noise reduction" is greyed out in my menu - and I get noise on long exposure. I can shoot dark frames manually but do any of the few who shoot Olys have a reason or solution?

Could it be that you are shooting in RAW and that the 'noise reduction' is only available in JPEG? Maybe check your manual to see if that could be the case.
