Been out chasing critters around a little bit in the past month. Was able to find some pretty cool things to shoot and I am still learning a lot about the ins and outs of wildlife photography. I really enjoy it. These were all taken with a bigma 150-500mm on a Nikon D300. Any feedback you have is much appreciated.

Cheers.

3rd pic is awesome. Not sure what it is, but I really like it!

First one is my favorite by a long way, great composition using the rule of thirds and fantastic lighting. The rest are just a bit snap shot-ish.

Thanks for the feedback all. I agree on some of them looking snapshotish. I am working on it, but struggling when the animals are on the move. I will keep working on it.

Thanks again.

Beautiful shots! Love the wood duck.

These are all great, and the colors on that wood duck are great!

That is the difference between good wildlife photographers and great ones. Good ones photographers can properly expose, produce technically good photo and use field craft to get close to there subject. Great Photographers can do all of that but compose there photos.

Its hard really hard, I'm pretty crap at it. No.1 really is a great photo

The mountain bluebird and the first deer are my favorites. I love them, very colorful, and the backgrounds are not distracting. It makes it all the better.

Nice pics, what part of utah were they taken at?

Thanks Tyson. I live just north of Ogden. You have some great shots also. I really like the sheep you found.
