Early morning beauty c&c please

I like the idea but the yellow/orange brush is incredibly distracting. It also breaks up the clean line of the road, such that the road doesn't take me anywhere but to the flower.

Did you dodge the weed to lighten it up? It has become the focal point that draws the eyes... since it is the lightest part of the image. Was that intentional?

My intent was to show the beautiful colors surrounding me that morning. No I did not dodge the plant I used my headlights to add some light .

The tree and the foreground weed are both quite lovely, but they are competing for attention, which makes the picture feel out of whack. The light strengthens the effect, but it's not entirely the light, it's simply the juxtaposition of the two objects.

The road leads to the tree, which stands solitary in the distance. Strong, eye-catching. The weed is a blotch of color and texture right in the foreground, also eye catching. Printed large, to visually separate the two, would probably help. This might be quite successful printed 11x14 or larger, but in the small size it's a little visually confusing.

The colors are quite wonderful and there is much to love about this.

Maybe I should have moved over a few feet to capture the road leading to the tree and had the plants and grass off to the side abit more would have improved this shot.

A lower camera view would have put the yellow brush in the perfect compositional position where the horizon and hill intersect.

Cool composition. I think the vast expanse of the blue sky leaves me unmoved. I agree with the bush comments. Maybe moving a bit to the left would have done it. Interesting you shot it in portrait mode.
