I think you mis-spelled morning.

I kinda like the pix, but it really doesn't say "Easter" to me.

I spelled "mourning" correctly. I took on a morbid twist on Easter there Sparky! No Cadbury eggs here :) LOL!!

Mourning is, in the simplest sense, synonymous with grief over the death of someone; "notice the other two eggs slumped over in sadness" ;)

I like the texture you can see on the eggs and the overall idea. Cool

Great capture but doesn't say Easter to me either, the holiday is usually full of colors and i think if those eggs where in color it would make a huge difference.

I didn't want them in color as it would not convey the idea of sorrow and mourning, hence the image's name, "Easter Mourning" it wasn't Easter morning with Easter baskets and yellow peeps and a tummy ache before breakfast due to candy overload. This picture is a tongue-in-cheek poke as personifying two eggs mourning the loss of as "fallen" comrade. Color just would not do to convey this form of sadness. The b&w was to make Easter something less cheery but more morose and sullenly ill-humored. Color was exactly what i didn't want. Now on the other hand, what I could have done, now that I look back in hindsight, is make the cracked, "dead" Easter egg in color while making the mourning eggs remain black and white as well as the overall picture. This could have lead to an artistically more interesting picture. I just wanted to keep it simple while still maintaining the artistic value that I found in it. I do appreciate you opinion and maybe you will see it in as different light after my interpretation of why I have composed this image in such a way. :)

If the cracked egg had been oozing some "eggily fluids", I think the effect would have been stronger. I got the play on words thing.

I thought about busting out the red food coloring and had the egg in a pool of blood, but I was lacking food coloring. Thank you for "getting it" rather than just assuming I just an inability to spell. LOL
