Two versions Original: (with vignette added) Souped Up: vignette desaturate/add sepia tint and paint back the bud frame EOS 20D 1600 ISO (oops! forgot to reset ISO :er: ) 100mm macro @ f5.6 handheld Tell me which you prefer and why if you like. Comments and critique more than welcome!
Buds! All those promises that are in buds. I love them for that very reason! And an echinacea flower is going to be so beautiful in the end. You will have lots more photo ops with this flower . And that drop of water ... precious! Brilliant! Super focus, steady hand. Very well done! I like them both - and the bud really JUMPS out of the second version!
thank you corinna...these are stunning flowers when they open...won't be long now that was my exact intention in the second one...wanted it to pop from the pic!
yea its a tough call jon...... i think just as a photograph in the collection i like the first...... but as an image, like for a large wall poster or something, i prefer the second, it just has more impact and appeal.
i pretty much agree with everyone so far... the first one is a great image all on it's own, but the water droplet really pops in the second one. both are terrific.
thanks ray...no neat image, but I did some luminance smoothing and colour noise reduction in the Adobe RAW dialogue.
