Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
If your subject has moles on their faces do you remove them in editing? I know that certain ones are more of a 'beauty mark' and i usually don't even think about those. One of my subjects this weekend has 3 large moles on the right side of his face in a straight line then one on the left cheek that also continues in that line. I REALLY want to remove them, but i just wanted a few opionions before i broke out the clone brush!

You could always ask your client. Personally, I'm not a fan of doing cloning on anyone's skin (unless it would be a scab or something).

That is a type of issue that should have been discussed with the client before the photos were made.

Clients do want their skin to look as flawless as possible. Do you want to leave pimple on their face? Unless the clients really wants stuff on their face, then I guess. Moles are a whole different story or scars, burns, or birth marks, I agree that those stuff should be discuss before the shoot.

No i wouldn't do it.

Okay, thanks guys! I sent the girlfriend a message, because, ultimately, the woman always decides! haha

Oh, it's a girlfriend? If she ever gets on your nerves, you could try cloning ON some imperfections:Joker:

I see the moles as a feature rather than a cosmetic blemish.

I agree with you. Things like acne are okay to clone out, I just think natural features should be left alone. Too often I see photographs of seniors (students, haha) in my area that look like wax figures in their pictures and nothing like they actually do. When it gets to a point where the subject looks unnatural, I think that is far too much manipulation.
But whatever pleases the client...

I guess if the client specifically asked for you too then I would but otherwise he might see it as a bit rude if you do clone them out? I never edit out anything that is on someones body as it is part of them unless asked to do so, I find so called imperfections are part of the beauty of human beings :) But yeah maybe ask him :) Hope this helps x
