Hey all,

Went downtown to shoot some architectural/abstract photography, which I always love. I tried a b&w conversion, but I haven't done very many b&w conversions, so I'm not too sure how it turned out. Feedback welcome

I think it needs more contrast. You've lost most of the shadows.

I may need to swing by there. I drive the rt# 4 & 3, think I can jump out and snap gem in under a minute?

The color looks better with the metal. The B&W does Lack asome shadows.

Are you guys talking about the loss of detail in the bottom right and top left? There wasn't really anything to see there, so I just blacked it out. There were a few annoying smudges that got darkened in the process. ?

Sure, it's a bit hard to find parking depending on what time of day and what day you go ... but there is parking right across the street. diff times of day will also give you different lighting effects

the bw needs a different bw processing... google about bw pp, you'll find very useful things about bw conversion
