1.) have you considered vertical orientation? I think it would suit this type of image better.
2.) you have some weird thing going on with the background. Try to clone it out in Photoshop or something. You have grey background, so it can't be a problem.

Thanks for the comments. I agree on the orientation, I took these quite some time ago when I didn't understand the importance of portrait orientation! As for the background, your seeing some shadows from a chandelier and my lack of understanding of OCF. This was a very improptu shoot with no backdrop(I still have none), just in a kitchen with the table removed.

I wish I had some PP skills or any software for that matter. I've been going through the trials of capture nx2, CS5 and now Lightroom 3.4. I am liking lightroom, and will most likely purchase it when funds are available

What do you think about the pose?

How about the lighting? This was my first attempt with more than one flash and using an umbrella and reflector. My set up was 2 sb600's. One, about 10ft camera high-left(above heads) at about 45 degrees, shot into a white 45 inch umbrella and the second 5ft camera right-low(waist) at about 30 degrees, shot at a 45 inch white reflector.

As side note I'd like to add I've put the second sb600 away since these shots and have been focusing learning how to us a single strobe before I get into multiple lights.
