error message in posting urls

In trying to insert images using the direct links from imageshack.us, I am getting an error and can't seem to find out how to use properly.

I click the image icon, make certain the insert from url and then paste the 'direct' code from imageshack.
I've tried all the combinations I can think off and still get error message 'invalid url.'

Directly inserting the same address between {img} tags does work.

Deselect "Retrieve remote file and reference locally".

Yup, you always had to do that.

thanks, it seems like there are some changes in the interface and perhaps that was the default before.

Or I have Halfheimer's.
