its a little dark, i think a longer shutter speed will brighten it up and help add some motion to the water, or maybe its just that one bright spot in the photo thats making the rest too dark.
Composition is nice, and those birds add a nice touch.

^^ Agree - too dark, at least in the lower left. It's also tilted. Good composition and mood, though. If you have an original raw file you could do quite a bit with the lighting. It's even possible to process the raw file twice, once for shadows and once for highlights, and overlay the two in image processing software.
