disguised above-ground as a house and the construction of the
complex explained away to the locals as a water reservoir, this
cold-war era bunker in the east of england was designed to
house 600 'core personnel' and to sustain them for at least
3 months in the event of a nuclear assault. part of a network
of similar bunkers spread around the country, it was auctioned-
off by the ministry of defence in the early 1990's and is now
a rather unusual museum.
