having just had a new camera all be it nothing spectacular.. Fuji F600 Exr.. now this has an AEB mode but only covers +- 1 ev stop... now if i wanted to take two shots... and altered the exp compensation between shots. to say, -2, and +1 this would give me six shots at -3 -2 -1 first shot, and 0 +1 +2 on the second shot.. if this was on a tripod would this work better than just the 3 shot aeb mode... all taken on manual, or aperture priority..

any thought on this...????

Do you mean Manually Bracketting? Yes, this will work. Using a tripod, you can manually do as many exposures as you want. You can do 2 stops in between or whatever you want. You are pretty much free to do whatever you desire. Just make sure you don't shake the tripod. A lot of people prefer using more exposures for their HDR shots, and if you camera only does 2 or 3, then you may get better results from 6 or more exposures.

ahem yeah sort of...

what i meant was use the AEB feature to allow me to take 3 exposures automatically.. but each of the two shots i take to alter the epxosure compensation on each shot... so essentially i will get six photgraphs, at 6 various exposures with only two button presses.... and use a tripod to do this..

i presume i can do it... as there is an exposure compensation button on the camera too...

I think I understand now. You want to set the exposure compensation one direction, and take your 3 auto-bracketed shots. Then you want to set the exposure compensation differently and take 3 more auto-bracketed shots to end up with your 6 total shots. I THINK this would work, but I have never tried that. Hopefully someone will inform you that has already tried this approach. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

less button presses... means less camera shake at the end of the day i would have thought...

It might be possible to get a remote shutter release for your camera. That would end the shake issue.

(Barbarian checks) Yes, it looks as though that's an option for you.
