Eyes

I've been trying to get a shot of my SO's incredible blue eyes but it's giving me trouble. I've only tried doing one eye and haven't gone as tight as these ones. Any recommendations? Is a macro necessary?

I didn't use macro. Just get as close as you can and you can probably take it into photoshop or something and crop it.
