Good Idea but too dark. My monitor is calibrated and I see very little detail. You needed more exposure. The second shot has a more pleasing composition. Having the sun in the dead center of the frame on the first shot hurts the look, in my opinion.

The pictures of the street lights need more interest.

The reason I like the first one, is because it kinda of teases. Makes you examine the picture, plus I REALLY love the the way light bounces off the branches. It was rainy that night, so I think the water helped. The second one, I wish had a bit more colour to it, but c'est la vie. I don't shop my photos ... maybe I should.

@fanboy - what do you mean by "more interest"? I'm just curious, and any help I can get is greatly appreciated!
