Without having much knowledge in this department, I'm not sure the tree on the right edge of the frame adds very much.

I wish the tree behind the dad was just to the left of him, with the branches providing a framing element.

Looks like a happy family though

I really like it, I do like the suggestion of the tree behind the Dad changing but there's always something you can chance in a picture. This is a cool fall photo though..

You found a very nice way to handle the straight-down lighting.

A lot of emotion... a very nice setting... good clothing selection...
it all adds up to a successful family portrait.
