Not that you can control the background color, but I find it blending too much with the image, great shot though, composed well.

Thank you, I dunno what could have been done since I was almost at minimum focus distance around 15 feet I would prefer some contrasting color but this time of year all we got is snow.

I think you can bump up the contrast to make the bird pop out of the background. Beautiful shot
