No shame in this bumb.. All great shots as the rest of your post. The last one pretty cool with the angle of the buck and the road.. Thanks for the share.

thanks for commenting guys

Wow...these are nice images of this Buck

great pics, I'm just beginning and hope you will share, from the pic details you did not have a lot of focal length, I'm guessing you were in a blind? Light? Mid day a lot of light? I have been sitting early and late and having lighting problems, i think, pics are grainy.

Thanks for the comments.

Hi Jim. I wasn't sitting in a blind for these. During the rut (beginning of the mating season) at Shenandoah park, the bucks tend to be everywhere. I took these from the side of the road while I was driving and on a short hike.

I'm sure the grainy issues you're having is high ISO. Unfortunately, unless you spend thousands on a fast zoom lens, high ISO is the only solution to low light situations. Always position yourself with the sun behind you and use it to your advantage early morning and late evening.

good luck

If you would, I posted a doe from yesterday morning on the beginners forum. There is also a goose and mallard threads. Wildlife is what I want to learn as that is where I like to spend my time.

Very nice shots for almost all being sub-200mm.....
