I love this shot, but then again, feel it needs some work. It is "as is" other then the watermark.

Round two, trying to get a good shot of the yellow finches, but it is not easy, any advice would be welcome.

It's a nice shot. Maybe compose it next time so the bird is on the left of the frame. Or perhaps crop it.

Thank you. I got in a hurry taking this shot, and see it could have been framed better. I have been trying really hard not to alter the shots after taking them, as it is my goal for now, to be able to take a shot without editing.
The finches come in often now thanks to my feeders, but rarely climb on top like this one did, and when they do, they do not stay long.

Agree on the compose it but both are still nice shots.

For birds this size and smaller, you will almost always be in a hurry; even if you have a tripod set up and use remote triggers. It's just the nature of small birdography.
