First attempt at HDR

Maybe the Photomatix picture defaulted to one of those crazy presets.

In Photomatix there is a window with a bunch of presets you can use. Default is the one that is the first choice by the software. Without touching anything else that should give you a pretty decent image. How you got that far away from reality is beyond me. If you post your original 3 images we can have a go at it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure how it got so neon, but I'll take the feedback and try to work on it and re-post. This is awesome having access to people that know what they're talking about. Thanks!

I like the idea, compositionaly.

But, dude, those colors are a bit, um... "powerful". Maybe dial 'em back a bit to resemble something not seen immediately following a nuclear accident...

When I open an image in Photomatix, it defaults to the last preset I used...
