First Digital Pic. C & C please

Well, my new camera kit came in last week. I've spent the past few days reading the manual and getting familiar with it. My brother brought my niece to the house yesterday and she decided to be cute. Luckily I was ready for such a moment.

But barely. Of course a cloud had to roll behind the sun just as I snapped the picture. But I think it is a pretty good candid. I cropped a bit off the top, but other than that, the image hasn't been edited (I don't have PS yet). What do you all think?
