first newborn shoot

Hello everyone,

This is my first attempt at shooting a newborn. I was only able to take about five shots before she woke up and started crying so I only have one to post. please let me know what you think.

You should have used a bit more shallow depth of field, the super wrinkled fabric NO NO NO.. do love the chocolate brown with the pink and mint.
Don't be afraid to get right in there, in their face and some of the best baby pics are of the baby crying! so never stop shooting, unless of course the parent feels the need to pick the baby up.

kids are always unpredictable and uninterested in having their picture taken so just go with it or you will miss the shot.

maybe burn out the creases on the backdrop but other than that I love it

I totally agree. I wish I could have gotten that backdrop a little softer. Unfortunately I was shooting in a very very small kitchen and couldn't spread the basket from the backdrop anymore. I was also on my last F stop with the lens i had.
